Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 22, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Miscground. (“we,” “us,” or “our”) handles information in connection with the website at miscground.com (the “Site”). Miscground. is an independently operated digital publication.
1. Information we receive
Technical and usage information. When you access the Site, our hosting and security providers may process information needed to deliver pages and protect the service, such as IP addresses, browser and device information, request timestamps, URLs, and security event data.
Messages you choose to send. If you contact us by email, we may receive your email address, name, message, and any information you voluntarily include. Please avoid sending sensitive personal information.
Editorial and administration data. Authorized administrators may store article text and images in our content systems. Administrative access is protected with authentication.
2. How we use information
We use information to operate and secure the Site, respond to correspondence, investigate errors or misuse, maintain published content, comply with applicable legal requirements, and improve the publication.
3. Cookies, analytics, and advertising
Cloudflare or other infrastructure services may use cookies or similar technologies when necessary for security, request handling, or authenticated administrator access.
Optional Google Analytics 4. On our public domain, we offer a choice to accept or reject analytics cookies. The Google Analytics tag is not loaded until you accept. If you agree, Google Analytics may receive page URLs, page titles, browser and device information, approximate location and usage events, and may set first-party analytics cookies (such as _ga) to help us measure visits and understand which articles readers find useful. Google may process this information on systems outside your country. See Google's Privacy Policy.
Your analytics choice. Rejecting analytics leaves the Google Analytics tag unloaded. You can withdraw or change your choice at any time through Cookie settings in the footer. A small local-storage preference saves your choice. When withdrawing consent, we stop future analytics tracking and attempt to clear first-party Google Analytics cookies; it does not remove data already collected with consent. Advertising consent signals remain denied. We do not currently load Google AdSense or serve personalized advertising through the Site.
Consent requirements vary by region and may change as services change. Additional advertising or tracking products will require further review and, where applicable, an appropriate consent-management platform.
4. Service providers and externally hosted content
We use Cloudflare services to host and deliver the Site, protect access, and store content and uploaded images (including Workers, D1, R2, and Access). Cloudflare may process technical information to deliver and secure its services.
Our current design requests typefaces through Google Fonts, which may receive technical connection information such as your IP address when your browser loads font resources. Articles may also display externally hosted images; viewing them can connect your browser to the image provider. If we add additional analytics, advertising, email, or other service providers, we will review and update this policy as appropriate.
5. Sharing information
We do not sell contact messages or the personal information you provide to us. We may share information with service providers needed to operate the Site, when required by law or valid legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, and security of the Site and others. Links to third-party websites are governed by those websites' own privacy practices.
6. Retention and security
We retain correspondence and operational records only as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here or applicable legal obligations. Security measures are designed to reduce risk, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security. Hosting and security providers may apply their own log retention policies.
7. Your choices and rights
You can choose not to send us correspondence. Depending on where you live, applicable law may give you rights to access, correct, delete, or otherwise control certain personal information. To make a privacy request, use our Contact page or email contact@miscground.com. We may need to verify your request before acting.
8. Children
The Site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly seek personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us so we can review the request.
9. International visitors
The Site is operated from the United States and uses service providers that may process data in multiple locations. Visitors outside the United States should be aware that their information may be processed under laws different from those in their home jurisdiction.
10. Changes and contact
We may revise this policy as our services change. Material updates will be reflected on this page with a revised “Last updated” date. For privacy questions, visit Contact.
This policy should be reviewed again before enabling advertising, new tracking technologies, forms, or email services.
